International airport of Geneva-Cointrin
Situated 60km from Lausanne, is serviced by the main international airline companies and over 8 million passengers pass through each year. It offers a network of direct flights to around 100 destinations.
Geneva Airport has the advantage of a railway link within its complex, which offers three trains per hour to Lausanne.

EuroAirport of Basel-Mulhouse-Fribourg
Situated 210km from Lausanne, the EuroAirport is smaller. It is nevertheless serviced by known/regular/reliable companies from some 60 cities.
It is situated on the western side of Basel, on French territory. A 15 minute ride on the No° 50 bus connects the airport to Basel railway station, from which there are 2 trains per hour to Lausanne.

By train
Many trains connecting with the European high-speed rail network stop at Lausanne’s CFF railway station. The latter is situated in the centre of the city and close to all the sporting venues.
There are several TGV connections each day to Paris (300km) to Lausanne and via the Cisalpino to Milan (330km). There is also a direct connection to Barcelona via the Pau Casals, whilst the ICE connects Frankfurt and Stuttgart (440km) to Lausanne via Basel and Zurich respectively.

By car, coach
For those who wish to go to Lausanne by their own transport (cars, coach), there is nothing simpler. The Swiss motorways connect the country’s biggest cities, including Lausanne. Indeed, Lausanne is situated at the crossroads of two major hubs: Lyon – Geneva – Aosta – Turin/Milan and Basel/Zurich – Bern – Lausanne.
The purchase of the CHF 40.- sticker is obligatory in order to be able to use the Swiss motorways and semi-motorways. It is valid for 14 months (from 1 December to 31 January) and is on sale at customs offices, post offices, police stations or service stations.
