Information Meeting 2009 – It's this week-end!

In connection with the organisation of the WG-2011, two working meetings are planned with representatives of the FIG member federations. The first on 27, 28 and 29 this March, and the second in the summer of 2010.

First Information Meeting – 27-29 March 2009 – Lausanne (CH)

Our first information meeting for the gymnastics federation members of the FIG is drawing nearer. As of today, 40 countries have registered to attend. We should like to thank them warmly for their interest. More information about the meeting has been sent to them individually.

If any federation would still like to register, we ask you to contact the Organising Committee as soon as possible.

Working Meeting FIG – WG-2011 2008

From 21 to 23 November 2008, the Lausanne organising committee hosted the members of the “Gymnastics for Everybody” (GPT) Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation for a general working session.

77th FIG Congress – Helsinki, Finland – 17 to 19 October 2008

From 17 to 19 October last, the 77th Congress of the International Gymnastics Federation took place in the Finnish capital. As usual every four years, this congress was the occasion to elect or re-elect the members of the various commissions, which make up the FIG (seven altogether).

Workshop "Join the Gymnaestrada", Cancùn (MEX)

From 27 to 30 last August, a delegation from the Organizing Committee took part in the "Join the Gymnaestrada" workshop at Cancùn (Mexico), organised jointly by the Pan-American Gymnastics Union (PAGU) and the FIG.

A two-person delegation from Lausanne will go to Cancùn in Mexico from 27 to 30 August to participate in the "Join the Gymnaestrada" workshop, organised by the FIG and the PAGU (Pan-American Gymnastic Union).

European Gymnastics Championship

From 8 to 11 May 2008, the city of Lausanne hosted the European Male Artistic Gymnastics Championships for the second time.

First meeting of the organisation committee

On 1 April 2008 the first meeting of the organisation committee was held. All the people who had committed to take up the great challenge of the organisation of this unique event, met for the first time in one place.

The Organising Committee meets the communes

On 5 March 2008, the representatives (mayors, councillors, heads of service, school principals,...) of 32 communes in the Lausanne region were invited to an information meeting on the concept of accommodation envisaged for the Gymnaestrada.

From 25 to 28 November 2007, the Lausanne organising committee had the pleasure of welcoming members of the 2007 Gymnaestrada committee, together with the representatives of the FIG of the committee of Gymnastics for Everybody.
