From 10 to 16 July, Lausanne will be hosting the world’s biggest gymnastics festival!
Over 23,000 participants, of all ages, from all parts of the world and members of 55 national federations will meet to share their passion. After Basel in 1969 and Zürich in 1982, this will be the third time that Switzerland will be hosting this world-scale sporting event, for everybody.

The majority of provisional registrations have arrived!
Would you like to be one of the participants and rub shoulders with other gymnasts from all over the world for a whole week? There is probably still time for you to enrol through your National Federation.
So far, no less than 48 countries have registered. Coming from the five continents and representing some 22,000 participants, they will be bringing their culture and traditions to Lausanne and making the city pulsate to the sound and rhythm of gymnastics.
We are still contacting a number of countries, some of whom have participated, but others not yet, in a World Gymnaestrada, and really hope to be able to welcome them in Lausanne. We warmly invite all the others to join them.

365 Days to Go Before the WG-2011 !!!
In one year, day for day, the 14th World Gymnaestrada begins! An Opening Ceremony, highly colourful and full of surprises, will mark the beginning of a week of magic, encounters and emotions! The entire Organising Committee and the whole of the City of Lausanne are working relentlessly to offer the gymnasts and spectators form all over the world an unforgettable experience
